These are just ‘some’ symptoms of low potassium, it actually causes many more. Increasing potassium has been huge for us! We were very low and it has been causing all sorts of symptoms.

In children, it can cause a whole host of symptoms too from failure to grow, lack of concentration, poor handwriting, anger issues and the list goes on. Too much calcium from supplements can lower potassium.

We need 4700mg a day, which is a huge amount, many people fall short of this.

However, there are a lot of causes of potassium deficiency, other than a low potassium diet. For example,  magnesium deficiency causes potassium deficiency. Too much salt pushes potassium out (of the body). Too much calcium can lower potassium.
